Bank of Franklin celebrates its 110th anniversary as a banking institution. Founded in 1912, Bank of Franklin began as a 30 x 50 brick structure built on Main Street in Meadville. On October 13, 1912, the Bank of Franklin opened for business and has since expanded with additional branches in Brookhaven and McComb.

In keeping with their growth, Bank of Franklin is remodeling the facade of their Meadville branch. The renderings and exterior renovation are inspired by the original architecture of the Bank of Franklin.

“We are excited to launch this new phase with Bank of Franklin which will feature state-of-the-art exterior design while reflecting the age of Bank of Franklin’s rich history. We are honored to be part of the Meadville community for 110 years and look forward to serving the financial needs of our community in the future,” said Brad Jones, President and CEO.

Bank of Franklin was recently recognized for achieving leading national performance rankings in the banking industry. Bank of Franklin was ranked No. 4 nationally out of 690 C-corp banking institutions, which have total assets of $100 million to $249 million. This recognition was provided by CB Resource Inc. In addition, Bank of Franklin was ranked second nationally out of 184 community development financial institutions, recognized by CDBA, the national trade association for community development banking.

“We have enjoyed our connection with Bank of Franklin for generations. They know and understand our financial needs,” said client Barry Tyson. “At Bank of Franklin, their concern for you as a person and their friendliness has always been there – it’s like talking to your neighbor!”
